Losing Love

Whoever said it’s better to have loved and lost Than to never have loved at all Must have confused what they were feeling with infatuation And never had fallen under true loves enthrall If you have never known such a love Then you don’t know what it is to lack An emotion that in the end can destroy you If it is ever suddenly taken back You may search for love not knowing It is the one thing your soul does crave The luckiest ones in my opinion Will keep fruitlessly searching till the grave The damned ones are those who find their soul mates And are finally made complete Only to be ripped apart with loves desertion Whats left of your soul slowly dying with every heartbeat Because the person that rejects your love and leaves your heart broken and shattered on the floor They forever take from you that which their soul was lacking Fundamental pieces of your being that made you who you were before I have personally felt the rapture of two souls united And the unbearable agony when that love was lost So I say to all who are still trying to find true love be wary Because in the end that which you seek may come at too high a cost
