Looking In

Gripping hand around my neck
Cold death lying in wait
Shivering alone nervous wreck
Feeling the evil, smelling the hate
Slipping from sanity
Screaming in silence
Is this reality
It makes no sense
Forgotten
Alone
It tightens
Gone
Its done
Just a pawn
It won
Lying here
Crying
Falling down
Dieing
Dreaming
I’m flying
Reaching up
Trying
Searching the world
Something lost
Something buried
Too much
I’ve had to carry
Turing in
Looking deep
Where I’ve been
Memories I keep
Hidden from light
Covered in dust
Kept out of sight
Caked with rust
Trembling
Key in hand
Shivering
Barely can stand
Twist the key
Open the lock
Fear
What will I see
Will it bind
Or set me free
