Lookin West

it wasn’t enough for you though you wrote it could be true it just wasn’t a good fit you made me see it too it doesn’t stop the feeling the hole that has been blown the crevice I fell into once it became known when you look into the mirror what reflection do you see are you standing there alone or seeing an image of me the sun was in your eyes a complacent smile on your face you didn’t see the shadow fall as I moved on with grace as you’re running onward still looking for the best your feet are planted eastward but your eyes are lookin west when you count your blessings for the things that make you glad one blessing will be missing does this make you sad?
