Look Where Love's Got Me

Nobody told me to, I did it myself;
My hopes have been killed, by the devil himself.
I took a chance on love and now look what I got;
Dreams that are fading, a person I'm not.

Putting my heart out there, as far as it goes;
Giving all my trust to nothing but foes.
Look at where love's got me, no where now;
I want to go back, but I don't know how.

My mistakes have been made, once or twice;
I have rolled snake eyes, too many times.
Friends that are lost, regrets I have;
Now look where love's got me, I can't turn back.

But today I lift my head and my hands are untied;
As I walk down the isle, a beautiful bride.
I got what I wanted, just before a night fall;
Now look where love's got me, happy after all.
