Look, Over the Hill
Do you hear me and know what I mean
Are you able to see what I have seen
Is it clear to you like an autumn crisp day
I hope it’s true and you have seen the Way
Was I loud enough did I project my voice
I know I’m tough on those who are pro-choice
Now can you see do you know of His Name
When you’re not free I share the blame
Is it becoming clear do you see His Light
In what you hear do you know what’s right
And my inflection do you know that tone
Seeing the reflection in the Light He has shown
So if I shouted or was a little loud
To those who doubted and are just too proud
I only spoke for you and your salvation
If not to evoke this falling nation
"Look, Over the Hill"
This was my only line as a shepherd in a second grade play
about the Birth of Jesus. Forty years later I'm still telling people
to look over that hill. God Bless You!
