Look Inward

Some will stay far away from the light of the moon
They remain in the safe, welcoming shadows.
Choosing to say how this tree is odd, or that-
that it simply is not the correct way to grow.

But step into the haunted and piercing gaze of the white orb themselves?

Unthinkable.
