Look Into My Eyes
Look Into my Eyes,
Tell me what you see,
Do you see the joy?
Of a mate giving birth to her pups?
Do you see to fear
As I watched a brother being killed?
Do you see the tears that I cry?
The tears I cry,
When I try and hear,
The voices I used to know,
The voices now long gone.
We howled together at the moon,
We cried together,
When someone of us was doomed.
We even cry today,
Because you do not know,
The pain we feel,
The tears we cannot show.
Like the People,
You took our land,
Made it your own,
Drove us all away.
We try to make you understand,
But life has dealt us one bad hand.
We are dying,
Dying at your hand.
But you do not see.
Look into my eyes,
What is it that you see?
