Look Away

You have spoken
I heard the rain
Defied, denied and broken
And still no gain

You are sleeping
I saw your dreams
Inside you hide your reaping
Inside you scream

You feel nothing
I sense your past
A heart departs from loving
You fade too fast

You are crying
I look away
Pain in vain and dying
And we still can’t say

You aren’t here
I search my mind
Gone, so long to tears
Hearts and souls are blind
