Look At Me When I'M Talking To You
Look at me when I’m talking to you.
Verse 1
Have drink, meet at the pub, fool around and have some grub
Sitting round not a care in sight, jokes and laughs all through the night
This is how it used to be, no mobile phones or Sky T V
Verse 2
Get on line, free wifi here, living the dream in a virtual sphere
Order my food from my latest App, then tell the world if it’s crap
Facetube, hashtag, post on line, tell the world everythings fine
Chorus
Tim Berners Lee what have you done, gave us the web, then killed our fun
Conversation a thing of the past, glare at screens, type it in fast
Look at me when I’m talking to you, forget Facetube and wannadoo
Verse 3
Gotta tablet, reader and mobile phone, chatting on line, I’m not alone
Virtual friends are easy to please, no eye to eye, or hands to squeeze
Going to town’s just a pointless trip, I got it all here at my finger tip
Verse 4
I’d like to think one day you’ll change, take a step back and re-arrange
Conversations try it and see, turn off that phone, just talk to me
It’s easy when you really try, say hello to a passer by
Chorus
Tim Berners Lee what have you done, gave us the web, then killed our fun
Conversation a thing of the past, glare at screens, type it in fast
Look at me when I’m talking to you, forget Facetube and wannadoo
Please just put that phone down, We’re out just having a drink and enjoying ourselves
Turn that phone off, don’t keep looking at that phone
Turn it off, put it in your pocket and we’ll have a conversation
Doesn’t matter what we talk about, let’s just have a conversation
