Look At Me

I know you see me standing here
You looked me in the eyes
I wish you could see the real me
The one trapped inside

The girl with no voice and no will of her own
Will she be here forever with no light of day
Will she be stuck in this horrid place without letting it be known

Her desire to be set free to see the world through her own eyes
To experience life the lows and the highs
To finally be one with herself
To not be ashamed to speak her mind
To live her life the way she wants with no restraint

If only someone could see through those soulless eyes to peer deeper and look on the inside
