Longing For Love Not Lust

As I stand here watching my love depart.
     I remember our parting words.
Secrets were told that broke my heart.
She spoke of men she had in herds.

Unfaithfulness my heart cried out.
Lust was something she used as love.
I wanted to somehow shout.
Our love seemed to come from above.

Now here I stand knowing my fate.
I won't call out to her of my grief.
Why did I make her tell and not wait?
Why was our love making so brief?
