Longing
She called for him,
in a lorning cry,
he didn't answer,
and she asked herself why?,
she's missing him more,
with each passing day,
and there's nothing anyone can do,
or anyone can say,
I know it takes time,
before I can heal,
but all of this heart-ache and pain,
that I feel,
keeps stabbing me in the heart,
like a knife,
though I know I've got to get on,
with my life,
It's so very hard,
to say Good-bye,
I keep asking the same question,
why did you have to die?
