Long Distance

on the otherside of the world 
on the other side of the phone 
on the other side of the girl 
on the other side of the home 
 
 
behind the walls behind the computer screen 
behind the calls beyond what is really seen 
 
 
do you say what you feel do you really say what you mean?
can you elaborate on the truth can you interperet your dreams? 
 
 
is your heart really filled with the sound of my voice? 
do your emotions allow you to kill that difficult choice?
 
 
is your flesh weak is your flesh strong?
can you stop your flesh from doing whats wrong?
 
 
is it real love or is it a joke?
does it come from the heart or does it come from the throat?
 
 
is it because i try harder that you dont try at all?
is it because of the players in the field that you dont play ball?
 
 
do u keep all your ex's do you keep 'em in check?
are they reserved on your phone for a quick little text?
 
 
do you send them the same pictures that you send me too?
do they send you "i miss you" and "i love you too's"? 
 
 
it's funny its sad that my heart feels denied 
but its not evil nor bad and no not even pride 
 
 
but it does feel like glass breaking inside 
and sometimes it feels like a just want to hide
 
 
so tell me the truth i really need to know 
if you just wanna hurt me then just let me go
 
 
i dont give up easy i try to hold on
but if your heart isnt faithful then let me move on.
