Lonely Travel
lonely leaf: May I ask where you have been? May I ask the tree that grew you; Where have you traveled?
Where have you been? You have twirl and whirled upon the breeze for so long.
Where have you stayed? Have you tasted the rain?
Was its savor sweet?
Have you rested upon the snow capped mountains?
And washed through the violent cry of the light that flashes in the sky.
Have you grown weary? and in need of a home?
Lonely traveler. There is something wonderful in the way you move and cradle yourself to the earth.
