Lonely Seed

The seed is set a quarter of a ruler
Its life on earth will be hardy and fuller
After water, rays and time, it will be a great ********
Into a beautiful; uncommon sort of attraction

Humans come and want to pick her pedals
This tiny little seed has grown into a medal
Decisions to protect this growing flower;
Thorns are grown in order to keep her power

They come to gawk and see her golden wonder
Her life is empty, though they feed her hunger
She needs a seed to grow right by her side
To germenate and feed her heart and mind

The heat is now beginning to take its toll
Maybe next year her seed will be set within a bowl
This way her roots will not be running free
Her knowledge of love will be limited and steady
