Lonely Road

The road started out not lonely
And the birds sang in the trees...
If only, oh if only...
No don't let me say it, please.

Don't let me say I miss him
Now that I'm alone...
I am sorry that I have that view,
Considering what I've done.

For now the road is lonely,
And no bird is overhead.
If only, oh if only
I hadn't shot him dead.
