Lonely Is My Lover

Lonely is my lover
She's all I've ever known
So comforting, familiar
I'm meant to be alone
She's a jealous lover
She makes me hide away
Far from all the others
Says I'm better off this way
She tells me they will hurt me
Will trample on my soul
Tear my heart in pieces
Leave an empty hole
I know that she is right you see
Everytime I've tried
To let somebody close to me
They hurt me, cheated, lied
So Ill stay here in the darkness
Tuck myself away
Nestled safely with my loneliness
Till I fade away
