Thank you, njeri, and for the 7. I can still remember walking into that hospital playroom and seeing the look of joy on his face that I was there. How special moment are.And the worst feeling in the world is knowing you can do nothing to save your child. All you can do I love him. I have many poems about Gary here."A Rainbow Glitters", my little Soldier Boy" "my little Chocolate Mess" "On the Bridge too Far"

the last line gives the punch beautifully - mothers' laps are the best stuffed toy box to cuddle into! loved this.

Thank you, Josefina. This comes from a true story. My son spent a lot of time in the hospital. He had Cystic Fibrosis. A lung disease. I lost him when he was 13. He died in 1983. So it is not a recent death. But memories stick with you forever. Thanks for liking my Haiku.~~Darlene
