Lonely

The tears fall like mid-day rain, Drowning soundlessly in all the pain. Closed up in a small dark room, Waiting for the coming doom. Eyes that grow red from crying, Limbs that feel like they're dying. The blood that stains those shaking hands, Falls to the floor in crimson strands. The fearful scream echos through the air, It's as if no one will dare to care. A lonely soul travels in freight, All it's days turned to night. The tears that flow like a river, Make one shake, shiver, and quiver. The lonely days go on forever, Will they end? No not ever.

this is a sad but brilliantly written poem your imagery jumped off the page i really like that, and i think with the ending it means that we are all searching for something and once we find that then we start searching for something else, this was a great piece!Jo

A great poem defining the impact of loneliness on all who experience its heartbreaking impact. Fortunately, periods of loneliness are usually short lived and the sunshine of happiness returns to brighten our lives. Mac
