Lonely

We were so lonely
we were so small
we were so young
we didn't know
we tried to live
we tried to grow
walking the streets
on our own...

We were so lonely
we were so clean
we didn't know
why we were here
we needed a hand
or someone near
to help us go
through the years...

We were so lonely
there was no God
to hear our prayers
to hear our words
to dry our tears
to hold our souls
we were just lonely
that's all.
