Loneliness
A blue tinged heart that beats alone,
Hangs beneath this skin and bone.
The loneliness that fills this shell,
Where demons also hide and dwell.
The silent screams no-one will hear,
From empty eyes a single tear
Will run along a frozen cheek,
A ray of hope is what it seeks.
Giggles in another room,
So far from all this doom and gloom.
No visitors shall come for me,
This cage prevents me being free.
My arms in chains, they long to hold,
The comfort from another soul.
They fear rejection, words unkind.
The workings of a broken mind.
The days and nights are all but one,
No greeting of the morning sun.
For loneliness it does remain
To fill my heart of all its pain.
