Loneliness

The loneliness that I feel right now
is starting to take it's toll.
It eats away at everything I am
it goes deep down to my soul.

I find myself crying for someone
to love, to hold, to share.
I have spent my whole life looking
but I wake with no one there.

Thank you very much for your nice words about my poem. I wrote the poem because I wanted to enter the contest about loneliness. But I was too late. I believe that in order to write a good poem. You must put a little part of yourself into each. You have a good Friday and a nice weekend also. I invite you to read my poems " admiration " and " I Miss " Your friend, Roger

Hello Roger, wow! this is very deep... I'm hoping this is only a poem, in which shows the rawness of the word LONELY... in which you described to the max.. Once Upon A Time, this took a heavy toll on me.... Glad the next day someone was there... enjoyed..LINDA

Hello Linda, I find it very hard to believe that a beautiful woman like you could ever be lonely. I thank you for your concern and for the nice words about my poem. I wrote the poem because I wanted to enter the contest about loneliness. But I was too late. I believe that in order to write a good poem. You must put a little part of yourself into each. I am glad that loneliness does not take a heavy toll on you anymore. I thank you again and I invite you to read more of my poems. P.S. I recomend my poem titled " Admiration " and " I Miss " Roger
