Loneliness

LONELINESS is so very hard to accept
After decades with my love I feel inept
We were constant companions and mates forever
I was sure we would last beyond the 12th of never
But fate stepped in and took her away
Heaven afar is her home today
Memories are now my constant companion
I’d love to take her back to the Grand Canyon
So now I struggle with LONELINESS every day
And my wish is for her to come back to me to stay!!
