Lollygag and Lallygag
Lollygag and Lallygag were told to make a plan.
Both hoped the other would, and promptly forgot
For following through and doing work for the man
Is something that neither one followed through or sought.
Neither moved forward, thinking the other would take the lead.
But Lollygag and Lallygag were neither up to speed.
They had both made a practice of lazing most of the day.
Not actually doing any work, just taking jobs away.
Two of their minds might have come up with a play
And created a plan if they had any ambition or care.
But they both wasted six good hours, their usual do-nothing day.
Furious with each other when their jobs. Unfair!
