Lollipops and Death

Lollipops And Death Death is the final currency It pays for nothing Shadows God, lurking in the dark Takes the last tear Takes the last drop Devils and demons hate humanity Pain and void is their choice for us Death is the final currency dished out Takes the soul to nowhere friendly It gives no lollipops Only a tombstone and cold hard box With dirt on top

Hi Gary, Thank you for your sentiments. We are still in shock. My wife is the cat person. I prefer dogs. We had this cat for over 10 yrs. It had a gentle personality. It is amazing how pets impact our lives. I'm glad you liked the poem. With or without this death event I would have written this poem or something like it. Have a great day. Take care. Earl

Good morning Jan. Thank you. Contest? I didn't know there was a contest. Our Burmese cat died suddenly yesterday. My wife and I are very sad so I wrote a death poem. I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care. Earl
