From the great song of the Kinks to this little tribute to my brothers dog. I dedicate this poem. R.I.P. Lola

They got her in a pound some ten years ago A pup German Sheppard Who was the color of cola C.O.L.A. ~ cola She barked at them and she wagged her tail As if to say... get me out of this jail her name was Lola ~ L.O.L.A. Lola She was not the world's most smartest little pup But she ate off a plate and she could drink from a cup Lola...Lo lo lo lo Lola Now I'm not dumb and I can understand Why a dog's best friend...they say is a man Oh Lola ~ L.O.L.A. Lola I drank champayne in candlelight Because they said goodbye... to Lola last night Lola... Lo lo lo lo Lola I must be the world's most passionate guy Because, when Lola passed... it just made me cry Lola ~ L.O.L.A. Lola Dedicated: To my brother Paul's dog "Lola" She passed away last night

G'day Lindsay … I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mate. I've lost a few in my lifetime as well and I know how attached we can get to them. Thank you mate - Charlie

A wonderful tribute with such a clever twist, Charlie. (remembering Lola, by the Kinks) I am sorry for the loss of Paul's own Lola. She went to the bridge, knowing that she was loved. LO LA LOLA!

I hope that your brother can read this poem, when he is ready. It may help a teeny tiny bit. Our dogs are often really our children.
