Locket of Flashbacks

Your arms surround me,
As the sun drowns in the sea.
The golden sand beneath,
Feels soft to my bare feet.

Silver streaks of moon rays,
Break through my hair.
As the day melts into night,
I can feel the cold air.

Our fingers hang entwined,
As your shadow falls on mine.
We keep no track of time,
Or moments that slip by.

Now, memories lie in cracks,
Accompanied by heart attacks.
Our connection lives with gaps,
As our chances offer traps.

Future remains a constant climax,
As our dreams and hopes collapse.
We'll just be, ages from now perhaps,
An emotional locket of flashbacks...
