Lobster

Lobster is a goldfish, Living in a tank. Instead of swimming, though, it seems That Lobster somehow sank. His fish companion, Wendy, Acts as perky as can be, Which makes the fate of Lobster So much sadder, then, to see. It’s possible that Lobster Will improve and start to swim. It’s something that I wouldn’t count on, By the looks of him. Every pet will hit its limits And, despite the life it’s had, Even something such as goldfish Passing on’s a little sad.

This is hilarious when you think that the lobster is lucky to have sunk in the tank rather than a boiling pot of water!

Saw a 'Red Lobster' in Ann Arbor, MI on Labor Day weekend. Didn't know they still existed... My oldest son was totally fascinated by lobsters as a little kid. Used to stare at the tanks for hours... hours! Myself, I realize that lobster rhymes with mobster. More than that is beyond me. Cute write, ilene! ~ Sink or Swim, Lobster Mobster!

It is indeed, Ilene. I never lost a pet of any kind that I wasn't a little sad, even the goldfish.

They tend to get a bit flushed at the end . . .Enjoyed the verses, Ilene! Aloha!

A fun...albeit strange...name for a "goldfish". A fun read, nevertheless, Ilene.

Poor Lobster. Maybe sinking is better than floating?
