Living Without You

You left this life, but forgot to
teach my heart, to live without you.
When I couldn't stand it, for a minute
and now a lifetime, without you in it.

So alone, my heart is shattered
all is gone, that ever mattered.
I hate it here, all on my own
How do I live, life all alone.

Though memories sweet, of past will be
carried always, in my heart with me.
I never thought this day would come
that to death, you would succumb.

To young to die, to sweet to stay
and I don't know why, 'til this day
I never will understand why
How could it be, your time to die.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
