Living Over Fear

A part of the Bible describes us as gods
I guess that’s why Samson could push walls and bend rods
Moses could divide seas with a stick
And none of the elements dared to speak.
These are great stories of great men
And forgive me if I forget the tale of the lion’s den.
The major thing these men conquered was fear
Which is one thing we fail to realize puts us in the rear.
Take a second to critically think,
Trust me I did so before putting this to ink
Your parents overcame fear for you to be born
Knowing that they’ll live their lives with a daughter or a son
Who might be a lawyer or a pharmacist
Or maybe a pain in the **** drug addict
You won’t be wrong to say fear is in our human genes
But to be a god, you have to be more than just a human being
Fear might be the difference between defeat and victory
At least that’s something I’ve learnt from legends and history
