Living On the Edge of Whatever Happens
there are two sides to each and every coin in life and people need to see
that there is a negative side and a side of positivity
when you're living on the edge of your faith there's no time to stop and pause
you must be dedicated and committed to God's righteous cause
for no one has any notion of what's on tomorrow's horizon
the Lord told us to stay focused and to Him keep our eyes on
to look up to Him and remind ourselves of His righteous hands
and remember that He gave us a positive foundation on which to stand
and as we travel on this journey that many call life
there will be some persecution and moments of struggle and strife
but as long as we are moving along the King's highway
understand that there will be some ups and downs from day to day
living on the edge of whatever happens
following the advice of God's co-captain
Paul was incarcerated but he would not let that stop him
from being an encouragement to his fellow Christians
he told them to stand tall and persevere in their shared belief
to be stirred up by their faith for in it there is relief
and whatever happens to be most aware of their conduct
abide by the living gospel and from It get instruct
continue on the path that for you God did choose
know your place in the ministry and don't get confused
stand firm as one body in Christ for you're not in this alone
you have the power of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the heavenly throne
living on the edge and no matter what's going down
Father God has your back and you're standing on higher ground
so go out and preach the gospel, evangelize the word
turn that negative into a positive and disregard what mere men have heard
and no matter what in life you're going through, just remember this
as long as you're living on the edge of whatever happens
trust in God's promises
