Notes About The Poem

Living Light

Free will’s a gift, so use it or lose it
How much longer will we chase illusion
Shaky our resolve and lacking in grit
Thus we flounder about in confusion
Echoes returning as retribution
Boon becomes bane, shallow desire our blight
Karmic rebound, our soul’s limitation
Heart’s secret delight - to be living light

Enslaved by spirals of mind’s ready wit
We choose to trauma bond with delusion
We may, if we wish, exit bit by bit
Melding head with heart in meditation
Making life an endless celebration
No sooner lamp of love, we so ignite
Divine aligned, one with all creation
Heart’s secret delight - to be living light

In Gods cauldron of love, we all can fit
Why for then our fearful hesitation
Know that we’re already at the summit
Path to God lies in desire cessation
Whereupon ends thought of separation
His grace then in-pours by day and by night
Rapture beyond mind’s imagination
Heart’s secret delight - to be living light

When love becomes our orientation
Our soul’s teleported to zenith height
In timeless time, God-realisation
Heart’s secret delight - to be living light
