Living In the Past

Do you sit and think on the past, And ask yourself, why do I feel like this? You cannot undo what has been done, Then ask yourself, how long will it last? I was 70 years old, just last week, And memories are just as fresh today, As if they had happened yesterday. Let them go I hear folk say, stop living in the past. When my time is over and I have breathed my last, Maybe then I'll know I'm truly free at last. © Dave Timperley 25 July 2016
