Lives Are Lost

A teardrop falls from swollen eyes
Desperately trying to muffle the cries
Loss filled anguish on a tear stained face
Heart shattering pain in its place
Didn’t see them was the drivers cry
God why did my angels have to die
Do no want to go on another day
Will it really help for the driver to pay?
Won't bring back the loves of my life
May as well open my heart with your knife
You robbed me of the joy I once knew
Justice I now hope will come to you

Written after reading of the loss of life a Mom(expecting),son and daughter were killed
by a drunk driver here illegally in the US.
