Live Like You Get One Try

I was working my fingers to the bone Making a half days pay Wondering what this life's really worth Always worried what people say An old man who was watching me Said he could see it in my eyes He said, come here boy and let me tell you About this crazy thing called life He said I'd rather have a rose each day Then a bouquet when i die I'd rather sweat my way to the top Than have a handout on the side Nothing in life comes easy And that makes all of life worthwhile Cause if you want to go to heaven You gotta live like you get one try He said, it's not the kind of work you do But the way you work in life And you're the only thing you can change And that's worth the sacrifice He took a sip from his cup of coffee He spit his dip in a mason jar He said, that my son is the secret to this life Follow this it’ll get you far He said I'd rather have a rose each day Then a bouquet when i die I'd rather sweat my way to the top Than have a handout on the side Nothing in life comes easy And that makes all of life worthwhile Cause if you want to go to heaven You gotta live like you get one try Yea - Nothing in life comes easy And that makes all of life worthwhile Cause if you want to go to heaven You gotta live like you get one try Yea - you gotta live like you get one try
