Live Life Now

Live not for the morrow, it may not appear,
Live Life to the fullest, that's presently here:
Live not for the promise, that may not be filled,
Live fully today, for Life may be stilled.

Life is for living, it's ever present and now,
So make no promise, nor impossible vow.
With truth as a yardstick, to steady the aim,
Life lived to the full, awards due acclaim.

If Life is governed, by ephemeral dreams
And days are concerned with impossible schemes
Then Life has no meaning, nor the future bright.
But to live for the moment, is everyone's right!

Very good advice, Denis! I enjoyed your poem's smoothly flowing lines and excellent rhyme, as well as the inspiring message. Blessings, Kim
