Live and Let Live

Live and let live.. Once I heard when I was young, That Live and let live was sung. I heard a priest mutter, The holy rhyme he uttered. I saw the god shower, The blessings of flowers. I saw the fighter fight, For love and might. The world was beautiful, As it was peaceful. Only once I heard someone say, In the summer of May, Once I heard when I was young, That live and let live was sung! Once I heard when I was young, That Love and let love was sung. I heard the morning bell that was hung, On the door of the shrug. I felt the air of the world, Which was just so curled. I heard someone chant, The miracle of wants. The life was so free, Like two birds on a tree. Only once did I feel the tune, In the hotness of June, Once I heard when I was young, That love and let love was sung! This was sung only till I was young! Now that I am old, I hear and see things so cold, Till I was innocent, Things were florescent. Now that I have started understanding, Things changed to heartening. How I wish things wont change, They would always remain. How I wish love and life, Would always be limited till mine, How I wish the wine of smile, Would carry all worries miles. How I wish, I could hear once again what was sung, When I was young, The tale of live and let live!!
