Little Things
Little Things
A little splash
From a little girl
A little smile
From her little world
Three little ponytails
Usually no more
Two little knocks
Late on my door
One little story
With Princess and Prince
Both live happily ever after
Behind a little picket fence
A little dance
When no one’s around
A little more red
As she colors a clown
A little fit
When I tell her no
A little hug
When we finally go
A little trip
To the Dollar Tree
A little wonderland
This ten-year-old sees
One little question
And then another
Finally, I answer
Go ask your mother
Little tears
Little eyes convey
A word of console
Sends them away
A little kiss
From lips of ten
Renews the faith
That lies within
A little prayer
Tucked in bed
The words break off
As I kiss her head
She asks very little
Except for my time
A little request
That borders divine
A little child
Awoke today
sharing a little heaven
In her own little way
