Little Sister
Little Sister
Little sister, how might I say,
You never cease to brighten my day
From the house that was next door
I can't imagine being blessed more
Not by blood, but deep in heart
We've grown so close, we are one part
A part of which that in my soul,
My dear little sister, half my whole
From young age, we always hung out
Playing together, talking about
All the things we want to do
Dear little sister, if you only knew
If you only knew, in an amount
The joys you bring, too many to count
Your smile, your laugh, you're so tight
Personality, simply put, easygoing and light
So glad was I to live so close
To someone who I've loved most
And with time being as it is
Away at school, it's you I miss
As we ichat, at this very time
And I struggle to think of a rhyme
Moments ago, me rapping you songs
You laughing and saying, "Amy, so wrong..."
So here we are, my poem at last
I must admit, this came along fast
But Kara each word is honest and true
My dear little sister, I love you.
