Little Shelby was a precocious 8 year old, and delightfully cute, When I taught her to read music and to play the flute. She was a red-haired little beauty, that would melt the heart, She was like the perfect little child, a real sweetheart! She was gifted and a delight with her inquisitive mind. It’s not often you run into talent of that kind. Shelby discovered she loved music… it was in her soul, And her flute playing was astonishing, and a joy to behold. She went on to study professionally, and her talent soared. She also took up playing the harp, which she adores. Shelby just graduated from college with her music degree, With a bright future ahead of her, those that know her will agree. I am happy to know I introduced music to my friend… Shelby has not yet reached the heights to which she will ascend. Music is such a wonderful gift that God made, It leaves us in awe and wonder when beautiful songs are played.
