Little Moments

Little Moments

People have normalized
holding hands,
little touches,
hugs,
and eye contact.

But for me,
they are never just ordinary.

I want to hold his hand
and walk with him
on long, quiet night walks.

I want to accidentally brush against him
and feel butterflies
flutter somewhere in my stomach.

I want him to hug me
when the world feels cruel,
when everything feels a little too heavy.

I want to get lost in his eyes,
because sometimes
they speak louder
than words ever could.

These little moments
may seem ordinary to others,
but to me,
they are everything.

Because lust could never understand
the comfort hidden
in these little moments.

For me,
they are not just touches,
not just hugs,
not just glances.

They are where
I find my comfort.

They are where
I find my happiness.

The free-verse form and gentle repetition give this poem a tender, intimate rhythm. Its everyday gestures—holding hands, brushing against him, sharing a hug—express a love rooted in comfort and emotional closeness, making the “little moments” feel deeply significant.
