Little Lost Lamb

Oh, dear little lamb,
so long and so far you have roamed!
Can you lie down in peace?
Does your heart never yearn
for the land of green pastures
and sparkling, clear water?
For the gentle Good Shepherd
who loves you so dearly?
do you never hunger for home?

Oh, dear little lamb,
how long will you stray in the valley of sin?
Do you not hear His voice?
Hear the Good Shepherd calling,
as He seeks for His lost sheep
in that wasteland so drear.
For His lost lamb He’s grieving.
Will you not heed His pleading,
and return home again?
