Little green eyes

Thinking back. 
Tears attack. 
I came upon you.
When you needed me most.
I decided to play the host.
Little green eyes
Time flies 
Days less lonely 
You were my one and only
Always by my side
A love you couldn't hide.
Nor could I.
Under the open sky.
Riding the sea.
I felt free.
Upon a mountain so high.
Touching that sky.
Resting along some trail.
Wagging your tail
You were happy I could tell.
You were there beside me.
Remembering all we did see.
I needed you
So true
Little green eyes
Time flies
Days past
Youth was never meant to last.
So fast.
You came to me. 
This is what I see. 
When I thought I couldn't go on  no more.
Hope fled through the door.
Couldn't even cry.
Was ready to die. 
No longer did I care.
No reason.
To face a new season.
At the end of my trail.
A feeling I knew well.
Life.
Strife.
Was at the end.
I didn't think I could mend.
Saw a little pup lying there.
Felt the need to care.
Did I dare.
Little green eyes.
No good byes. 
My heart did melt.
With this love I felt.
Watching you grow.
I know.
No longer so alone.
Love was shown
Hope grown 
Your whole life, you shared with me. 
From darkness, you set me free.
The love in your eyes.
..........time flies...........
I look around.
No sound. 
Empty lies your bed. 
Sadness fills my head.
I feel sad.
Too bad. 
But I thank you for the time you did share. 
Gave me a reason to care.
I go on to honor you.
True.
You was my friend.
Tell the very end
Time flies
Little green eyes.
Lou till I'm in my grave. 
My final wave. 
You was such a gift.
Gave my soul a lift.
Good bye. 
I still cry.
