Little Gold Shoe

As the Djembe drum beats to the rythm of my heart, The wedding reception is about to start. I hear your laughter from across the room, Wearing a gold and white dress you were in full bloom. You were not the bride yet you stole the limelight. The bride was beautiful sure, yet you were the cutest sight! My hands reached towards you "My daughter, did u loose your little gold shoe?" Laughing you layed your head on my shoulder, Little did we know its our last date; life is about to get alot colder...

This poem is about the night before she passed on, all healthy and enjoying her uncle's wedding. She surely was the most popular and cutest sight at that wedding... Little did we know how sick she would get that night.. Little did we know she will pass away the following day
