Little Game

quiet musings on life's
trials & tribulations
alone with your thoughts
while music plays in the
background

another day arrives
and the anguish remains
into the night
alone with your pain

the darkness reveals
what the sun doesn't
shine
the madness encompasses
your mind in
time

a life lived uncertain
memories a blur
decisions made in haste
a future unsure

what's left to do
when every day is the same
lost in the monotony
of life's little game
