Little Did the Lost Know

Would you blame them?
Would blame them for their ways?
The only way they ever knew.
The only way they thought it was right.
would you blame them?

Would you blame them?
Would you blame them for not knowing?
would you?
Would you blame them for the wrong they did,
thinking they were right?
would you blame them?

Would you blame them for seeing love wrongly?
for helping wrongly...
That's all they ever knew!

Would you blame them?
for showing you all they knew,
for all they believe,
for all that they were taught
was right...

They believed with all their hearts,
with all their might,
they believed...

... it was right...

was it?

Wasn't it?

why wouldn't you blame them?
little they knew,
little did you know.
little would any know.

I can't blame them,
I don't... how would you?
I can't blame them...
why blame me?
Why wouldn't I blame them or you?

No one's fault,
nobody knew enough

don't blame them or me

I love them
as well as, YOU!

I think you are exploring the grey and for people in this zone there is potential for redemption. July is at the far end of the spectrum and still with God there remains the potential for even these souls. I think this piece is good because it causes us to explore both the depth and depravity of the human heart.

Thank you Richard. A poem can be understood differently by each reader and I believe the worst criminal as a better chance in salvation than people who attends church. Salvation is for everybody but it’s our choice whether we want to believe in Christ and submit to him. God forgives all sins because for him sin is sin no matter what it is. In James 2:10 “For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.” Having said that, no one should judge another for sinning differently than them. Because at the end of the day we’re all sinners and everyone sins but some sin different than others that doesn’t make us better. Nobody knows what drove us or them to sin. That’s my personal opinion I guess

No ones to blame but ignorance and shame, to make a change pride would have to be swallowed and the evil ones play that game...Love your conscious poem...All the best Antonia

People will always believe different things, even if we try to teach them our ways, they may want to stick to their own.. That is what makes humans so unique... Well written..

Yes like those kids who they’re taught to kill themselves and others even you’ll go teach them that’s not the way to heaven. They won’t let go of what they know first... the stubborn human nature
