Little Boy's Mango Tree

My garden is full of colorful flowers
The fragrance they unfurl cleans our soul
They do not need the rain showers
We happily feed the plant, since it's our ultimate goal.

Humming birds are the regular visitors
They intimate their presence by their beautiful tone
In the midst of the garden,we affixed a bird feeder
It helps to feed the birds, even we are out of town

Once a little boy visited our garden
He had a mango seed in his hand
He looked like a fairy, his appearance brightens
like the sunshine,he obliged me to bury the seed

I said that we should plant a sapling
as this would not get enough strength to grow
He said "faith can do anything"
and again compelled me to sow

I am not sure whether he is a gnome or pixie
But there was something in his words
Now my garden has a big mango tree
and it has become a party place for the birds

Having a roof garden in the middle of Athens, Greece, I can share with you the enthusiasm and love for it! I am delighted that bees, butterflies, some birds and occasionally a sort of a humming bird visit my little garden and this gives me joy! I share the flowers of my garden with all my friends on FB from all over the world! Beautiful writing dear Supraja!
