Listen

Hush, listen--- Do you hear? No, open your mind, Not your deaf ears--- You still cannot? Because you posses prejudice; Your beliefs blind you, And you do not notice--- Yes, it may sound childish ---why write for such a cause? You tell me to wake up, There is pain, harm, and loss, In our harsh reality. You think I don't know, That the world is cruel And society, too, is so? But can you not see? These boys may not be real Their smiles may be made up, But all that they feel Is a story worth telling And worth writing of--- Their joys and adventures, Their unusual love, Their pain and aches, too, Their invisible burdens--- They have stories to tell, so please Listen---
