Listen

Listen

A scream so filled with pain
Frustration, disappointment
Yet there is silence.
It is not for your ears.
Still, you hear it
Guilt tugging your heart.
You want to run
To believe you don’t need
But you do.
Tears weep from your eyes
Unknowing they are mine.
Your soul knows what your mind does not
For we are joined.
It matters not the time
Nor the distance
Love will quiet the fear
Bonds sure to strengthen
Thru trust and patience
Someday will come
When from within your soul
You begin to listen.
