Listen

Listen to me if not her, I don't mean to challenge you our concepts but I've gotta say: you've grown! You're no longer the little boy she's always known. Now, it's all about you and your phone, huh? She's loved you from the day you were born Even way before you ever became flesh and bone And she let you run run to her each time you felt alone But you call that history cause her little boy is gone See, you've honestly changed. You've evolved now Approaching the maturity stage, that's a totally different age But all that's just a phase cause you're still her boy Her little center of joy As a matter of fact, you're the last person she'd ever want to annoy Or at least that's how you put it The day you raised your voice against her made her not to eat. With a split heart, she fails to accept defeat for your mistake So she puts up with it for her love for you's sake She remembers her husband fled because of her unborn child And that was you, so she loved you cause you were her own He saw you as a mistake but she saw a blessing and had to reach out and take She did all she did for your sake, can't you see? And she had to do that for what fee? Disobedience and insults? No, that was never what she had hoped for What do you know? Her little star's still in there somewhere All you have to do is reach in and make a fair choice She'd know that boy anywhere just by the sound of his voice
